Howard's Ryerson Named DII Goalie of the Week
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sophomore Luke Ryerson of Howard Community College has been named the NJCAA Division II men's soccer goalkeeper of the week for games played September 2-8, 2024.
Ryerson backstopped the Dragons to a pair of shutout wins this week, stopping all 10 of 10 shots he faced. He made three saves in a 1-0 win over CCBC Catonsville on September 5. He extended his shutout streak with seven saves in a 3-0 win over Allegany on September 7.
On the year, Ryerson has allowed one goal in 360 minutes between the pipes. He ranks fifth national in both save percentage (.947) and goals against average (0.25).
Howard (4-0) returns to action Thursday, September 12, with a 4 p.m. home game against Cecil.
