Division II Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments

Columbia, MD – The bracket is set for the Region 20 men's and women's Division II basketball tournament hosted by Howard Community College.

Quarterfinal games begin on March 5 for the women with #1 CCBC Essex and #8 Hagerstown meeting at noon. The remaining tournament games will follow with #4 WVU Potomac State and host #5 Howard at 2:00 pm, #7 Chesapeake vs. #2 Prince Georges at 5:00 pm, and #6 Montgomery against #3 Catonsville closing the days action with a 7:00 pm tip-off.

On March 6 the quarterfinals for the Division II men's tournament will take place with #8 Catonsville and #1 Howard opening the day at 12:00 pm. Game 2 features #5 WVU Potomac State against #4 Garrett at 2:00 pm. Seventh seeded Chesapeake will play #2 Cecil at 5:00 pm and #6 Dundalk and #3 Montgomery will close quarterfinal action with a 7:00 pm tip-off.

All semifinal games will take place on March 7 with the winners of the quarterfinals determining the schedule. The women will start the action at 12:00 pm with semifinal game two tipping-off at 2:00 pm. The first men's semifinal game will begin at 5:00 pm with the second semifinal to follow at 7:00 pm.

The semifinal winners will meet in the championship contests on Saturday, March 8. The women's championship contest will tip-off at 12:00 pm. The men's game will follow at 3:00 pm. The two champions will be crowned both Region 20 and Mid-Atlantic District champions and advance to their respective NJCAA Division II National Tournament. The women's tournament will be held in Joplin, MO and the men's will be played in Danville, IL. Both tournaments will begin on March 17.
