Pagano and Colucci Earn Division I All-America for Harford
Charlotte, NC– A pair of sophomores from Harford Community College have been recognized on the Division I Baseball All-America Honorable Menion team following the Spring 2024 season.
Joey Pagano, an outfielder for the Fighting Owls, finished seventh in the nation in batting average, hitting .450 in his sophomore campaign. Pagano collected 67 hits in 149 at bats, hitting safely in 37 of 49 games. He had 21 multi-hit games and reached base safely in 46 appearances. Pagano did not commit an error in the outfield in 50 chances.
Pitcher Joey Colucci was top five in the nation for earned run average with a 1.86. The Fighting Owls ace appeared in 13 games totaling 63 innings pitched. Colucci finished the season 8-1 with four complete games. He struck out 83 batters and only surrendered 18 walks. Opponents hit just .173 off of him.
Pagano and Colluci are the first pair of honorees for Harford since 2017 and for Region 20 since 2021 when two student-athletes from WVU Potomac State were awarded.
