Montgomery Wins Region 20 D2 Baseball Title

The Montgomery College Raptors Baseball Team are the 2024 NJCAA Region 20 DII Champions! 

The team entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed and narrowly defeated CCBC Catonsville, 4-3, in the first round. In the second round, the Raptors faced No. 1 seed Frederick CC and the two teams went 10 innings before Frederick was able to pick up a 2-1 victory. The Raptors met CCBC Catonsville in an elimination game to decide the final team in the championship, and the Raptors took down the Cardinals, 12-2. 

Declaring a Region 20 Champion took three games in just over 24 hours, in which the Raptors loss game one, but returned on Monday to beat the Cougars twice.

The Raptors will now travel to Enid, Oklahoma to compete in the 2024 NJCAA DII World Series.
