Region 20 Names April Players of the Month
Congratulations to the Region 20 Players of the Month for April 2025. The Region recognized six student-athletes from five member institutions for on field excellence in April.
D2 Baseball
Nick Falla, So., RHP, Allegany
Falla went 5-0 in seven appearances for the Trojans in April with a 1.01 ERA. He struck out 55 batters and recorded a 0.79 WHIP in 35.2 innings of work. The sophomore didn't allow an earned run for his first 23 innings across six appearances in the month. Falla recorded three complete games and earned a pair of key wins against Garrett. He leads the Region and ranks third in NJCAA DII with a 1.24 ERA on the year.
D2 Softball
Alana Watts, Fr., OF, CCBC Catonsville
Watts hit safely in all 14 games in April with a .698 batting average. She slugged 1.358 with 16 extra base hits including eight home runs. Watts recorded multiple hits in 13 games overall, stringing together a seven-game multi-hit streak. She drove in 30 runs and scored 22 herself while striking out just one time in 58 plate appearances. She was 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts. Watts leads Region 20 in batting average this season at .625.
Men's Lacrosse
Kohl Wesner, So., M, Harford
Wesner scored 28 goals and had five assists in six games in April. Named the Offensive MVP of the Region 20 Tournament, Wesner led the Fighting Owls to the Region title with 10 goals and four assists in the tournament.
Women's Tennis
Daniela Aguilar, So., Harford
Aguilar continued to lead the Fighting Owls with a 4-2 record at top singles and a 3-3 record at No. 1 doubles. In singles, she picked up straight set wins at Shenandoah (NCAA DIII) and against Wallace State, and lost a tiebreaker at Coppin State (NCAA DI).
Women's Outdoor Track & Field
Deborah Oyetunde, Fr., CCBC Essex
Oyetunde finished second in the 100m and 200m at the Region 20 Championship meet. There she clocked a ran a PR of 26.19s, the 88th fastest time in NJCAA DI. At the Hopkins Invitational, Oyetunde PR'd in the 100m (12.39s) to finish sixth with the 80th fastest time in NJCAA DI. She also finished 10th in the 200m (25.47s).
Men's Outdoor Track & Field
Logan Rich, So., Carroll
Rich became a four-time Region 20 champion winning the both the discus and javelin throws for the second consecutive year. Rich set personal records in both the javelin (50.83m) and the discus (40.22m).
